Apply now for ICAC scholarship to attend the ICAC/ANU Corruption and Anti-corruption Executive Course

ICAC scholarships are now open for NSW state and local government executives and senior managers to attend the Corruption and Anti-Corruption Executive Course at the Australian National University (ANU) in Canberra from 13 to 19 September.

The course has been updated and is now tailored towards current or potential executive level NSW public officials charged with managing work areas with a significant corruption risk.

The scholarships are valued at $5,500 each. They are open only to executive or senior public officials employed by NSW state or local government agencies. It is expected that participants will apply the skills and concepts acquired from the course to the identified corruption risks in their work area.

The scholarships are to cover course expenses. All other expenses (salary, travel and accommodation) remain the responsibility of the employing state or local government agency.

Those ineligible for the scholarships, as well as unsuccessful scholarship applicants, may still participate in the course as full-fee paying students by applying via the ANU.

Scholarship applications close at 5:00 pm AEST on Friday on Friday 6 July 2012.

About the ICAC/ANU Corruption and Anti-Corruption Executive Course

The Corruption and Anti-Corruption Executive Course is delivered at Master-degree-level, applying a mix of lecture, exercise and seminar. Attendance will equip public sector executives and senior managers with theoretical frameworks to enable them to reassess workplace behaviour and to develop and implement innovative solutions for management of corruption risk.

The course is delivered at the ANU in Canberra by specialists from the university's Crawford School of Economics and Government, and practitioners from the ICAC. The course attracts participants from around the world, including officials from overseas anti-corruption agencies.

The course is offered as a "stand alone" professional executive short course program, as well as part of the ANU Master in Public Policy degree. For scholarship recipients enrolled in an ANU masters course, the executive program has a value of six units (48 units are required for a master degree).
